Welding Preparation and Positioning of Welding Materials

When a person makes welding preparations, it is mandatory to understand the type of material or material that will be included in the process. Does the material or material contain iron (ferrous material) or does not contain iron (non-ferrous material). A welder must also consider whether the material is an alloy or a pure material. 6. The size of the welding current

7. Weld type of flame for OAW welding process

8. Other measures so as to produce a good welding which has relatively the same mechanical, chemical, or other strength as the base material being welded.

Position of Material Placement at Work

The placement of the workpiece is adjusted to the welding position, where the welding position can be divided as follows :
1F, 2F, 3F, 4F, 5F, 6F
1G, 2G, 3G, 4G plate
1G, 2G, 5G, 6G, 6GR (pipe)

The various choices of welding positions indicate the qualifications of the welding operator who are entitled to perform the welding. If the welding operator has a 6G qualification certificate, it is permissible to do welding in all positions, but if the welding operator has a 4G plate certificate, the welding operator is not allowed to weld pipes in any position, but may do welding in 1F, 2F welding positions. 3F, 4F or 1G, 2G, 3G and 4G.
