Metal Materia

1. Stainless steel
   The laser cutting machine makes it easy to cut stainless steel sheets. With the high-power laser cutting system, the maximum thickness of stainless steel can be up to 4mm. The widely developed low-power laser cutting system can cut stainless steel up to 4 mm thick.

2. Alloy steel
   Most alloy steels can be laser cut, and the cutting quality is good. However, tool steels with high tungsten and some other types of steel will experience erosion and sticky slag during laser cutting.

3. Carbon steel
   Modern laser cutting systems can cut the maximum thickness of carbon steel plates close to 20mm, and the gap of thin plates can be narrowed to about 0.1mm. Low carbon steel laser cutting has a very small heat-affected zone, and is flat, smooth and has good verticality. For high carbon steel, the quality of the laser cutting edge is better than for low carbon steel, but the heat affected zone is larger.

4. Aluminium and alloy
   Aluminum cutting is included in smelting cutting. Auxiliary gas is used to blow away the molten material in the cutting area, and better cutting quality can be obtained. At present, the maximum cutting thickness of aluminum plate is 1.5 mm.
